Orchid growth improved with Nanobubbles

Nanobubbles (NBs) is a nanotechnology that has been applied in several fields, such as health, waste management,
agriculture, and others. This nanotechnology utilizes gas in bubbles, making it easier for gas to enter the cell. The purpose of this
study was to examine the effect of O2, CO2, N2, H2 and O3 gases in NBs on the growth of Dendrobium orchids Imelda Marina
Masagung ÿ Bumi Menangis. The method used was to provide fertilizer and NBs treatment to Dendrobium orchids (8 months old
after acclimatization), for 6 weeks with observations every 1 week. The data obtained were analyzed by two-way ANOVA and
further tested post hoc tests with Ptukey ÿ 0.05. The results showed a significant difference in stem diameter and height of orchid
plants. The size of the orchid stem diameter was larger with NBs treatment compared to fertilizer and control treatments. Orchid
plants with NBs treatment were taller than those with fertilizer and control treatments. Plant growth was also indicated by the
emergence of new shoots and roots. The color of orchid leaves with fertilizer and NBs treatment changed from the Yellow-Green
group (144) to Green (143), except in the control. Leaf color affects the photosynthesis process, that green color will be better at
carrying out the photosynthesis process compared to yellow-green leaves. This affects plant growth. NBs affect the growth of
Dendrobium orchids Imelda Marina Masagung ÿ Bumi Menangis

NBs enlarge the orchid stem, increase the height of the orchid plant and the color of the leaves becomes
greener.
